What kind of security does Pro Film Site have?
Here are just some of the ways we keep FWD:labs secure:
- FWD:labs uses 256-bit SSL data encryption (the same as online banks) for all forms including signups, logins, and uploads
- Confidential credentials are encrypted; when we add any new security measures, we re-key ask you to provide credentials again so they stay secure
- There are regular backups of data to prevent permanent data loss
- Archived projects and users who prefer unlisted sites are given robot=nofollow tags, to not be automatically indexed by search engines
Any general security tips or recommendations?
For our clients, we often recommend the following tips for all web sites:
- Use a strong password, generally 8 or more characters with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
- Try to use a unique password per site/account, rather than the same one for your email or social media
- We use and recommend 1Password for password management, although Dashlane and LastPass are also popular
